How is the WFP Organized?

The structure of the WFP is stipulated in the statutes. The following areas are differentiated:

  • The Members Assembly represents the highest authority of the WFP and convenes at the time of the International Congress of Psychotherapy.
  • The Chapters are regional groupings of WFP member organizations representing certain geographically and/or culturally similar areas.
  • The Council is composed of delegates of member organizations representing different regions, cultures, countries, and minority groups. It will discuss all matters and advise the Board and is responsible for the strategic development of the WFP.

The Board is the executive organ and conducts all affairs of the WFP. It consists of the President, the past President, and the President-Elect, the Secretary General, and the Treasurer.
